Chamber of Commerce

This week’s story actually started back in September when we held the Bikers for Boobs motorcycle rally in Pocatello. I was unaware of it at the time, but my good friend and the lady that has done so much for the Foundation Chelsea Jensen is on the Pocatello Chamber of Commerce. I found out when we did the SWF Night Out event in Pocatello. Chelsea told me that Erika Piercy is on the board for the Chamber and wanted to meet me. We met at the Sandpiper and she convinced me to join the Chamber so she could help with more fundraising events for Pocatello cancer patients. I was excited and told her I would love to. Erika sent me the forms I needed to fill out, and I’m proud to say I am now an official member of the Pocatello/Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce.

After I had sent the forms in for Pocatello, it occurred to me that I should find out about joining the Chamber of Commerce for Idaho Falls. I found the contact information online and called the Chamber to make sure I had all the information and forms I needed to join. I called the office, and a very nice young lady named Destiny answered. She was very friendly and accommodating. She helped me with everything I needed. I thanked her for all her assistance and help. I wanted to say “This was so easy, joining the Chamber must have been my Destiny,” but decided to save the Dad jokes for later.

I’m excited to be part of both Chambers and I’m looking forward to networking with other business’s. But I think the best part will be the opportunity to meet the new people I am supposed to meet. It has been my experience that you meet the people in your life when you are supposed to meet them. I have met so many wonderful caring people through the Foundation that have made an enormous impact on myself and others. I am positive it will give me the chance to make some new friends and find the ways we are supposed to help each other.

I know this is going to be a great year and I want to thank all my friends, old and new, for everything you do for me and the Foundation. I know it makes my Angel Shannon very happy and she is grateful also. I will always LOVE AND MISS YOU sweetheart.

Next week: January Bridal Fair 2019

P.S. This is just another example of me having to say, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
