Press Release Take 2

Okay all my faithful readers, as promised this is the press release that finally went out on Thursday.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FWEDA ANNOUNCES EDUCATION-FOCUSED PARTNERSHIP
WITH THE TRAINING A.S.P.E.C.T.
Focus on customer relationship-building training programs to enhance dealer profitability

I want to give you a little background into the journey I have taken on the way to this announcement.

My original expectations when I started my training company was that I would be able to get companies to sign up for my training with no hesitation whatsoever. I mean, all I should have to do is explain my concept for increasing customer satisfaction and they would sign up immediately. I think the best way to describe this miscalculation is with a Max Wilker saying. “You’re seldom right, but this time you’re wrong again!”

This journey has been filled with many life lessons that I realize now I needed to learn. The first was nothing in this life that is worthwhile is ever easy. There are many stories of successful people who faced adversity along the way, but never gave up. I would like to say I also learned the importance of patience. Now I’m not sure if I’ve really learned true patience, or I’m just getting better at not driving myself crazy. (Maybe that should be crazier). I remember discussing this with my Mother-In-Law Berna Deane. I told her, “I think God is trying to teach me patience, and evidently he knows I’m a slow learner.”

I have also learned everything happens for a reason, even if you can’t immediately understand what that reason is. I realize the fact it’s taken this long to get to this position with my training has allowed me to focus on building the Shannon Wilker Foundation. It has allowed me the reward to meet so many generous people and help so many families.

The biggest life lesson I have learned is how incredible the blessing of family and friends can be. This journey may have had some ups and downs, but the one steady thing I have had is the support, encouragement, and love of so many wonderful people. I have learned that no matter what I am going through, I have so many people that support me and encourage me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I also have the daily guidance and strength of my Angel Shannon. I will always LOVE AND MISS YOU sweetheart.

Next week: Happy Easter

P.S. The next big press release should be:

Shane Wilker has decided to give up fouling.

(Yeah, right. That means I would have to stop playing basketball altogether!)
