The Superhero Army Part 2
Now that I have a little more time, I would like to give you some more details on the Crusade Against Cancer fundraiser. To begin, I want to thank all the amazing volunteers that helped make this years race run so smooth. I would thank them all by name, but there are far too many for that. Also, I know I would forget someone, and I need them all to come back next year.
Next I want to thank Doug and Cheyenne Swanson and Cody and Salem Thomas. When I first started the Foundation, Doug was one of the first guys I talked with to get some help putting together my fundraiser. Since then, Doug and Cheyenne have gone out of their way to help me every year. Cody and Salem have helped me promote the race and have raised so much money selling raffle tickets.
Then there is Preston Pyper who has provided the music for all of my events. Preston and I have known each other for a long time. We have played basketball together for many years, and he still blames me for a foul that he claims caused him severe pain. I would like to state for the record, there is no video evidence of this occurring, so I think I’m safe. Preston does a great job and I want him to know how much I appreciate all he does.
Most of all, I want to thank Kristi for all the support she has given the Foundation. I started the Foundation to honor Shannon for her compassion and service to other people. Everyone who knows Kristi would say the same thing about her. She is always helping anyone she can. Kristi is always putting everyone else’s needs in front of her. I am so blessed to have this amazing woman in my life, and I will do everything I can to be the kind of man both Shannon and Kristi can be proud of. Thanks for reading.
