Christmas Adopt-A-Family 2022
Tomorrow is one of the days I look forward to every year. We are going to go Christmas shopping for families dealing with cancer. We started this tradition 5 years ago and it has grown immensely over the years. This year we are going to provide Christmas for over 10 families. This would not be possible without the overwhelming generosity of this amazing community.
Teton Cancer Institute provided us with the shopping list for 6 families, and the rest were ones the Foundation helped earlier in the year, and I wanted to make sure we took care of them. It is so sweet to read the wish list the kids of these families send us. It is an honor to be able to help fulfill their wishes and it is a feeling like no other to know you are helping a family enjoy something positive.
We have lined up a great crew and will be shopping for the majority of the items tomorrow at Walmart. Some of the other items on the list are difficult to know exactly what they would like so we will give them a check so we can make sure they are getting the right thing. My favorite example of this is a request on one of the list saying they would like some make-up and jewelry. Take it from someone who has purchased make-up and jewelry before thinking they were smart enough to pick the right one and missed the mark horribly! Venmo and gift cards here we come!
I need to give a great big Thank You to everyone that supported the Foundation, and to let you know it is because of you, a family is going to enjoy the magic of Christmas this year. Thanks for reading.
