I want to start by wishing all the Mother’s out there a very Happy Mother’s Day. I officially grant you the permission to be pampered and spoiled by your family today!
I want to wish my Mother-In-Law Berna Deane a Happy Mother’s Day and let her know how grateful I am to have her in my life. She has lost a husband and two children and continues to move forward by helping so many other people. Her example of strength and courage has been such a wonderful blessing to me. I look forward to every Sunday when I call and read my story to her.
I want to wish my Mom a Happy Mother’s Day and let her know how grateful I am for everything she has done for me. She has taught me some very valuable life lessons. She has been very patient in my learning process, because some of them took me a lot longer to learn than they should have. I appreciate her encouragement and inspiration. It has always been there to help me when I really needed it.
As I think about their life growing up, and the challenges they faced. It makes me appreciate everything I have that much more. Now some of you are probably thinking about the demanding work and chores they had to do on the farm. And while that’s true, I’m talking about black and white televisions, no cell phones, and no internet! (That means no Netflix or Hulu!) Seriously though, we had it pretty easy compared to our Moms.
The quality I admire most in these terrific ladies is their unwavering faith and religion. With all the trials they have both gone through, they remain undaunted and undeterred in their service to our Heavenly Father. They make me want to be a better man. So, thank you both for your great example and for being the excellent role models you are. We are all better people because of it.
I want to wish my Angel Shannon a Happy Mother’s Day and thank her for the blessing of our family. I am grateful for them every day and everything they do for me. I know she is watching over all of us and guiding us through this chapter. We will always LOVE AND MISS YOU sweetheart.
So, to all the Mom’s out there, Happy Mother’s Day and thank you for everything you do!
Next week: Edwards Theatre event
P.S. I also admire my Mom’s compassion. She doesn’t have the heart to tell my siblings I’m the favorite!
