So, we have successfully made the trip to Coeur D’Alene to cheer Ryan on in the Ironman triathlon. I only have a few things I want to point out, so this week’s story is going to be kind of a short one. I am posting it on Saturday night, so we can get a good spot for the race start and to cheer Ryan on.
This event brings back so many great memories of Shannon for me. We always enjoyed the drive coming to these races and getting to watch Ryan compete. It was so gratifying to watch Justin supporting and cheering on his little brother.
As I think about all the many things I have to be grateful for, watching our sons display the love and respect they have for each other has got to be one of the greatest blessings I have. It was fun listening to Justin and Ryan make plans for camping at Redfish Lake this summer. I know Shannon is watching over both of them and is so proud of the great men they are.
I want to tell Brittney, and Cassidy how grateful I am to have them in my life and how proud their Grandmother Shannon and I are of the amazing young women they are. I am also grateful for little Jayci and the blessing she is to all of us.
I want to thank my girlfriend Kristi for coming along with me on this trip. She has always been so supportive and respectful to everyone in my family and I want her to know how important that is to me and how much I appreciate that. I know that means a lot to my Angel Shannon. I am concerned on how fast it will take her and Cassidy to team up against me!
So, tomorrow morning, around 7:00MDT, everybody make sure to give Ryan a great big cheer and wish him the best of luck. I know he has a special Angel cheering for him. We will always LOVE AND MISS YOU sweetheart.
Next week: The priorities of life
P.S. It took all of two minutes for Kristi and Cassidy to team up against me. Don’t all of you feel bad for me?
