I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving this year. Each year this holiday helps me remember all the things I have to be grateful for. I will start by saying how thankful I am that Cassidy was able to make it here before the weather turned horrible. I only hope it will cooperate for her return back to Dixie. In the intertest of keeping this story short, I will pick three of my top things to be thankful for.
1. I am thankful for the progress/challenges of my training company. This year I have made some remarkable progress with my training company. I have met some very influential people and I am currently in negotiation with a two large companies for some training nationwide. I have also had some training negotiations fall through or be postponed for a later date. I am thankful for this because it helps me stay focused on pushing forward. It helps me remind me that staying upset at the things that I can’t control will keep me from searching for new opportunities.
2. I am thankful for the love and support I get from my family and friends. This is a blessing I am grateful for every day. I will be the first to admit I used to take these things for granted most of my life. If I’m being completely honest, I didn’t really pay much attention to them. I have learned just how much strength and influence their love and encouragement has given me. I have experienced the pure power of this blessing so many times. It helps guide me toward the goal of being a better person.
3. The greatest thing I am thankful for is our Heavenly Father’s Plan of Salvation. This past year, my close friend Tom, my big brother Curt, my Aunt Mary, and my sweet Mom all left us to start their next chapter. It has been a constant feeling of loss. But I know every time I think about them and I feel the tremendous pain of their loss, I am reminded that’s only because the love I have for them is so strong. Through all of it, the one true belief that gives me strength and reassurance is the knowledge this is part of our Lord’s plan for all of us. I know without any doubt they were needed to help more people and we will all be together again in the next chapter. The best tribute I can give them is by doing my absolute best every day to make them proud of me.
I hope all of you have a safe and wonderful Christmas season. Thanks for reading.
