The Crusade Against Cancer 2022
I am happy to report that we had a very successful event yesterday. I am grateful to everyone who made all of this happen, and it says so much about our community that reaches out to help and support the Foundation.
I am grateful to all the sponsors especially Teton Cancer Institute, Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Falls Community Hospital, and Utah Cancer Specialists. I also want to thank the rest of the sponsors and businesses that donated door prizes. This year we raised more money than we ever have before with raffle tickets.
There were so many people who volunteered for the event, I feel bad not being able to mention all of them by name, but I need to thank some very special people for all of their hard work. I want to thank Nate Esplin for helping hand out race bags and always helping support the event. I would like to thank Paul and Tanya Riggins for helping with the door prizes. I would like to thank Gray Augustus and Bill and Cheyenne Swanson for always helping me put this together. I need to thank Preston Pyper for providing the music and making it special. A very special thank you to Bob and Lisa Hale for all of the work they did helping with door prizes and setup. Also, a big thank you to Justin Brown and Jeff Riggins for their help and support from helping set things up and throughout the whole event. A big thank you to LoRita Kahn for everything she has done. She has gathered up door prizes, signed up runners, and signed up several sponsors. She does so much for the entire cancer community, and I appreciate her so much.
At this point, I want to thank all the great young men and women from the local High Schools that helped put together the race bags and helped promote the event throughout their schools. I want to congratulate Bonneville High School for winning the Crusade Against Cancer banner for 2022. It is exiting and encouraging to see the future of our community and country works so hard to help out.
The one person I want to thank the most is my amazing wife Kristi. She has helped with every aspect of this event, and I could not have done this without her. She is so incredible to watch as she talks with people, helps put things together, and makes everyone feel so special when she talks to them. She is a true Superhero.
I want everyone else that made this a huge success to know how much I appreciate all they did, and we are going to be able to help a lot of cancer families with the hard work you put into this. There will be a very special prize for everyone I have mentioned in this story. Thanks for reading.
Next week: New opportunities
P.S. What’s the special prize you ask? You are all guaranteed a job next year. You’re very welcome.
